Muesli Recipe (The real thing!)
Serves two
Preparation time: Approximately 10 minutes


INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 tablespoons [tbs] of raw rolled oats. Critical Note!1
  2. 2 tbs of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  3. 2 tbs of sweetened, condensed milk
  4. 2 tbs of freshly ground almonds
  5. 2 apples - medium to large, depending on appetite.

ADVANCE PREPARATION

Soak the 2 tbs of rolled oats overnight, in enough water to cover.


MORNING METHOD


Eat and assimilate! If indulgent wickedness strikes, eat half from your plate, as it comes from the bowl, then put a modest amount of liquid or very lightly whipped cream (or yoghurt) on the remainder.

If Muesli is to be part of a larger meal, always serve as an appetiser, preceded only by fruit juice as a pre-meal drink.


1Only raw, untreated, unheated, un-toasted (unstabilised) oats will do! Usually only available from Health Food Shops. Inquire earnestly about the processing status and age of the oats. Avoid quick or instant oats! Store surplus oats and almonds in the freezer or fridge.
2Tip: grate 1 apple, mix, grate remaining apple[s], mix again.
